Gervais' Beaked Whale- Mesoplodon europaeous-  According to experts in the field, this might be the first male of the species ever photographed at sea.  The placement of the teeth is diagnostic and differentiates it from the similar True's Beaked Whale- Mesoplodon mirus.  Photo © Steve NG Howell
